The year 2025 was a year of growth, renewal, and collaboration for Technion. We developed our operations across multiple areas and made progress toward our goals related to personnel, technology, and sustainability. Here is an overview of the year’s most important events and achievements.
People and Community – Building a Stronger Technion
The year was significant for the development of our HR operations. In the spring, we welcomed a new HR Manager to our team as Maiju Heinonen started in her role. Maiju brings extensive experience in HR leadership and process development, and in a short time she has become an important part of the Technion community.
Under Maiju’s leadership, we completed a total of 35 recruitments, strengthening our expertise to meet future needs.
New talents (19 permanent recruitments)
Our organization welcomed, among others:
- Logistics Manager
- Supervisor
- 3 Software Developers
- Warehouse Worker
- 12 Production Workers
In addition, 8 fixed-term production workers supported our operations during the summer season.

Wire harnesses and system components are produced at the Naantali facility.
New career paths within the company (5 internal transitions)
Our people also grew through new competencies as several employees moved into more demanding roles:
- From Production to Technical Sales
- From Production to NPI Specialist
- From Production to Electronics Production Specialist
- From Production to Order Assistant
- From Production to Quality Engineer
In addition, 3 electronics installer students completed their internships with us.
Enhancing Employee Wellbeing
During the year, we implemented several internal systems and improved the smoothness of our operations:
- New intranet
- Recruitment system
- Risk Pulse
- Online learning environment
We also renewed the facilities at our Naantali site, organized Supervisor Days at Naantali Spa, held our first “Bring Your Children to Work” day, and participated in several career fairs.
New Facilities at the Tampere Office
Last year, our Tampere office moved to Hatanpää. The new office has received a warm welcome and serves our needs excellently. Around 15 Technion employees and 40 HYDAC employees work at the office. You are warmly welcome to visit us!

From the windows of the new Tampere office, one can admire the Ratina bay and the city skyline.
Product Development – Smarter and Safer Machines
The year 2025 was an excellent year for product development. We focused on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, standardization, and a deeper understanding of customer needs.
Fusion AI – Edge Computing for Demanding Conditions
One of the year’s most important development projects was Fusion AI, an edge computing solution for mobile machinery. It enables:
- Real-time data processing without a cloud connection
- Predictive maintenance
- Improved safety through environmental perception and driver monitoring
- Semi-autonomous functions for complex or repetitive tasks
Thanks to the Hailo 8 accelerator and automotive-grade hardware, Fusion AI delivers powerful AI computing with low power consumption and meets strict safety and cybersecurity requirements.
Business Finland Funding for the AI4Machinery Project
In May, we received significant recognition when Business Finland granted funding for a new AI-powered mobile machinery project. An internal kick-off event held in the autumn officially launched the project.
Toward Safer and More Efficient Machines
Key focuses in product development included strengthening machine safety and cybersecurity, improving system performance, and enhancing customer satisfaction. We continuously learned about new technologies and actively followed industry standardization work to ensure the long-term reliability of our solutions.

Fusion AI and the Bird’s Eye View function were showcased at the Mobile Machine Technology Days.
Sustainability and Certifications – Toward ISO 14001
Technion already operates under the ISO 9001 quality management system, and in 2025 we advanced toward our next important goal.
We are currently in the audit phase of implementing the ISO 14001 environmental management system, which:
- Strengthens systematic environmental work
- Reduces the environmental impact of our operations
- Supports responsible operating practices
- Improves our ability to deliver customer value sustainably
Trade Fairs and Events – Strong Presence Across Europe
Participation in international events was once again an important part of our activities. Together with HYDAC, we showcased solutions for construction, mobile machinery, electrification, and automation.
Bauma 2025, Munich
The world’s largest construction machinery event brought together industry leaders. At HYDAC’s 300 m² booth, we presented:
- Electrification solutions
- Automation technologies
- Innovations enhancing safety and cybersecurity
Technion’s role in forestry machinery solutions was strongly visible, and visitor interest was significant.
Mobile Machines Technology Day, Tampere
Around one hundred industry experts attended the event organized by HYDAC and Technion, focusing on AI opportunities, machine autonomy, and the importance of ecosystems. Fusion AI generated strong interest and lively discussions around artificial intelligence.

The event gathered a wide range of experts, including AI veterans Peter Sarlin (Silo AI) and Juha Ala-Laurila (Unikie).
Alihankinta 2025, Tampere
Finland’s leading subcontracting industry event once again offered high-quality encounters. Key highlights included:
- Electronics- and software-driven solutions
- E-mobility and safe high-voltage cables
- Contract manufacturing solutions
The joint booth with HYDAC provided an excellent environment for discussions and new initiatives.
Teknologia 25, Helsinki
The main themes of the event were cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. At our booth, we showcased:
- Certified displays and controllers
- Fusion AI
- A prototype of the Bird’s Eye View 360° camera system
In addition, Tommi Forsman delivered an engaging presentation on AI applications in mobile machinery.
Agritechnica 2025, Hannover
The world’s leading agricultural machinery fair attracted nearly half a million visitors. Our booth drew strong interest with:
- TTC’s AI solutions
- Strong visibility of Engiron
- The xCrane PRO tip control system
E-mobility and intelligent control systems emerged as key themes of the event.

The xCrane PRO tip control system showcased at Agritechnica also sparked interest among future forestry machine operators.
Looking Ahead
The year 2025 was filled with development, new initiatives, and successful collaboration. We strengthened our expertise, developed new technologies, and expanded responsible operating practices.
We warmly thank our customers, partners, and personnel for the past year. Together, we are building smarter, safer, and more efficient machines and strengthening the future of our industry.
Wishing everyone an inspiring and successful 2026!
