Are you interested in developing next-generation control systems at a growing company where the work is diverse and you can make an impact?
Technion develops and manufactures control systems for mobile machinery operating in demanding conditions — such as forestry machines, mining equipment, forklifts, aerial work platforms, and vehicles used around the world. We have been designing and manufacturing control systems for over 30 years, and you’ll be joining more than 90 easygoing professionals in the field.
We are looking for a Software Engineer / Senior Software Engineer to strengthen our product development team of over 15 people.
We expect you to have previous experience in C/C++ programming and embedded systems. Fluent spoken and written English is essential for the role, and Finnish language skills are an advantage.
We also value knowledge of mobile machinery, Linux application development, cybersecurity, functional safety projects (e.g. ISO 13849), applying AI in products, and cloud services. Technologies we use include C/C++, Python, Qt, MATCH, Codesys, and CAN & Ethernet protocols.
In this position, you will take responsibility for technical solutions and work with both your own team and customers. You’ll get to use your problem-solving skills, teamwork capabilities, and ability to apply your expertise. You’ll have the chance to work on a wide variety of projects and expand your knowledge. You’ll influence the systems you help create and see how they perform in demanding real-world conditions. Our motto is “Getting the Job Done,” which is reflected in our straightforward and results-oriented way of working.
Your workstation in product development will be at our Tampere office. This position requires weekly presence at the Tampere office. It also involves occasional travel and customer visits, primarily in Finland but also across Europe. We work flexibly in a hybrid model and support various working styles, as we trust you know best how to succeed in your work. We care about your well-being and offer flexibility to accommodate your life situation — because we understand there’s more to life than work.
The position is full-time and permanent. The salary for the role is €3000–5500, depending on the applicant’s experience and skills.
We offer you:
-
A solution-focused work atmosphere where everyone’s opinions are heard and respected. Humor is part of our daily life and the atmosphere is relaxed.
-
The opportunity to develop exciting solutions for existing and future machinery. You’ll be genuinely proud of your work and your team’s achievements.

Occupational healthcare through Mehiläinen, leisure-time accident insurance, culture/sports/wellness benefits via Epassi, and shared events and activities both locally and company-wide.

A workplace backed by the globally operating, financially solid German family-owned HYDAC Group. Despite our global foundation, our hierarchy is low and decisions are made close to the team. As a growing organization, you’ll have the chance to influence how the company operates.
